Wasserman, speaks on a panel addressing Hot Topics in Business Bankruptcy at the Maryland Bankruptcy Bar Association’s 26th Annual Spring Break Weekend in Annapolis, Maryland on May 2nd at The Westin Annapolis.
The panel’s topic is “Nonconsensual Third-Party Releases Post-Purdue Pharma.” Richard joins panelists Joyce A. Kuhns and Dennis J. Shaffer, moderated by the Honorable Michelle M. Harner. The panel also plans to cover Right to Arbitration, and Merchant Cash Advances.

Throughout his 40-plus years of practice, Richard has frequently lectured on bankruptcy and workout-related topics. His experience includes the full range of bankruptcy and workout representation of creditors (secured and unsecured), creditors' committees, trustees, Chapter 11 debtors-in-possession, troubled companies, and prospective purchasers of assets from companies in bankruptcy. He has been honored by being selected as a Fellow in the American College of Bankruptcy where he has served as the Fourth Circuit Regent and a member of the Board of Directors. Richard has also counseled corporate boards on significant reorganization and restructuring issues and worked together with corporate management and other outside advisors including investment bankers, accountants, and public relations consultants.
